LL COOL J & Nas on a new song? YES!

LL COOL J & Nas on a new song? YES!

LL COOL J debuted his new album with Q-Tip during the 2024 BET Awards weekend festivities in Los Angeles. It was a large crowd in a secret location. The album, which some already consider his best album yet, was a big secret up until this point.

First things first, I can tell you that LL COOL J has a song with Nas on the album. This is the first time we’ve heard them on a record together. They’re both from Queens. The song is awesome and very different from what we’ve heard from the two of them, sources said. There’s no audio or anything because everyone’s phones were taken away and those who had phones were told not to post anything. I’m pretty sure they’re not going to disregard that order because LL COOL J reportedly upped the ante.

Second, I heard there’s a song with Saweetie. Again, there’s no sound, but people tell me it’s like a modern version of “Doin’ It,” one of his classics. I don’t know much about her, but I know she’s one of the biggest superstars of our time, so I can’t wait to hear it. The women in the building were super excited. LL COOL J played this twice because of the positive feedback from the crowd.

From what I hear, the album is really great and the crowd was extremely attentive and enjoyed it. If you know how listening sessions at these parties go, you know that they are generally not the best places to listen to music. In this case, I’m told, they were paying very close attention. I’m sure it helped that they didn’t have phones to distract them, but they might as well have been drinking and talking. For the most part, they didn’t.

It should be mentioned that LL COOL J did an interview with Datwon Thomas of the popular VIBE magazine before everyone, which also helped people get information about the album and the thoughts behind some of the songs. Thomas is a seasoned journalist who has risen to the higher spheres of television production and curation at Dick Clark Productions.

Overall, the message seems to be that LL COOL J wants people to realize that you can love hip-hop and still do it at a high level even when you’re older. I think that’s a good message to hammer home to people who keep trying to make it a youth sport. And not only that, I think that’s misguided because they need to see someone like him doing it and doing it well. No pun intended.

LL COOL J has certified classics, so we’ll find out if the rumors are true.
