Taylor Swift asks staff to help a fan on Ireland Eras Tour

The open-air setting at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concerts, where no seats are reserved, still presents a challenge for fans who need assistance.

“We need help there,” Swift said Friday night toward the end of her song “Lavender Haze” in Dublin, Ireland. “I see you guys have it. Awesome. Everyone who works in that stadium is amazing.”

The brief pause was to alert volunteers and ensure the Swifites were OK on the packed Aviva Stadium floor. The singer handed her microphone to dancer Raphael Thomas, while her other dancer Jan Ravnik grabbed her purple “Karma” coat.

“I just want to stay in this lavender haze,” she sang as if on cue, before seamlessly moving on to her song “Anti-Hero.”

The singer-songwriter has been particularly vocal during her European tour, as fans do not have chairs with a fixed place, as the layout stipulates. They crowd near the diamond catwalk and, in order not to lose their place by going to the bathroom, fans do not drink as much water.

In Scotland, the singer noticed that a fan needed help and strummed her guitar until help arrived.

“I’ll just keep playing until someone notices,” she said. “I can do this all night long.”

In London she asked for support on several songs.

“We need help right at the end of the ramp, right where they’re waving,” she said. The interruptions mostly happen during songs from the sets “Folkmore” (combined “Folklore”/”Evermore” set), “Red” and “1989.”

Security guards along the stage hand out free cups of water. If fans really need help, they call from the ground or flash their cell phones at the singer.

Swift has one more show in the Irish capital before heading to Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
