Justin Timberlake released from custody after drunk driving arrest in NYC; singer appeared in handcuffs for hearing

Justin Timberlake is out on bail following his sudden arrest on Tuesday, June 18, for driving under the influence or while impaired. The Better Place singer appeared at a hearing to defend himself against his arrest and was released from police custody shortly after!

Justin Timberlake is released from prison

A source told People’s Magazine that Timberlake attended the hearing with his lawyer Ed Burke Jr. and two others. His wife Jessica Biel, however, was not there. The singer reportedly arrived at the hearing handcuffed “with his hands in front of his body.”

He wore a black bowling shirt with light jeans and “baby blue Air Force 1s” when he arrived for the hearing at a Sag Harbor courthouse. After the session concluded, Timberlake left the courtroom without handcuffs, indicating his official dismissal from the New York Police Department. “He seemed a little disturbed,” the source added.

The singer was stopped by police as he left the American Hotel in Sag Harbor after dinner and was on his way to a friend’s house. He was immediately arrested for drunk driving and remained in custody pending a hearing.

Although Sag Harbor police told PEOPLE that an official statement would be released with details of the arrest, no action has been taken so far.

“My 2 greatest gifts. I learn more about myself every day just because you both chose me as your daddy,” he wrote in the caption. He then made the hilarious promise to forever annoy them with “insufferable dad jokes.”

“I love you both so much. Thank you for giving me my biggest goal,” he concluded. The Suit & Tie artist is currently on his The Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which will take him through Chicago and New York in the coming months, and he will head overseas on a European tour in the summer.
