Taylor Swift says the Eras Tour Folklore Cottage “belongs in Ireland”

The singer-songwriter explained that the cottage and “folklore in general” belonged on the Emerald Isle.

Although Taylor Swift has brought the “folklore” cottage to five continents and fifteen countries, the singer-songwriter says the simple house with the moss-covered roof belongs on the Emerald Isle.

“But let’s be honest: the ‘folklore’ hut and ‘folklore’ in general just belong to Ireland,” she said on Saturday, holding her guitar. “It’s just the way it is.”

As the sun disappeared below the horizon and dusk filled the Aviva Stadium, she admitted: “Conceptually, we all agree that ‘folklore’ is just yours.”

Swift has always been associated with the Irish capital. She stopped there on the “Speak Now World Tour”, the “1989 World Tour” and the “Reputation Stadium Tour”.

When she began writing the woodsy 17-track album two days after the 2020 coronavirus pandemic began, the “Cardigan” singer said she was dreaming of the Irish countryside.

“I had to create an album where the fantasy world I pretended to travel to every day while writing felt – to be honest – a bit like Ireland,” she said.

Swift will stay one more night in this storytelling land before heading to Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
