Following the seven rounds of the 2024 NHL Draft, which was held as part of the stunning visual experience at the Sphere in Las Vegas, numerous local talents have crept into the NHL youth system.

The Detroit Red Wings have signed eight young players, most notably winger Michael Brandsegg-Nygård, who was selected in the first round with the 15th pick. A number of young players with ties to Michigan were also selected in the draft, including some who have stayed in the state.

Here is a breakdown of all the players from local teams selected among the 225 picks in the NHL Draft this year. This list only includes players who played for that team last season, not newcomers like Michael Hage, a first-round pick who is set to play in Michigan this winter but played for the Chicago Steel last season. You can find all the drafted players here.
