Four-star Edge becomes Michigan’s ninth signing in June

Michigan’s football program continues to produce spectacular newcomers.

The Wolverines received their ninth commitment of June on Saturday when 2025 four-star prospect Julius Holly chose Michigan from over 30 reported offers, including finalists Georgia, Texas A&M and Ole Miss.

“100% committed,” Holly wrote on social media. “#GoBlue”

Holly, listed at 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, officially visited all four of his favorite schools this month, including Ann Arbor on June 7. His trip has clearly impressed him, as he is the 13th player to verbally commit to the Wolverines’ class of 2025, which entered Saturday ranked No. 17 nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Ten of the 13 are rated four-star prospects, including Holly, the No. 301 overall prospect and No. 22 in the country.

Lou Esposito, Michigan’s defensive line coach and the newest member of Sherrone Moore’s staff, spearheaded Holly’s recruitment, going to the Southeastern Conference area to sign a promising young player, most of his offers coming after his stellar junior year in which he recorded 57 tackles and eight sacks.

Holly is the fourth defensive lineman/edge signed to Michigan this cycle, joining four-star players Bobby Kanka, Jaylen Williams and Nate Marshall, a top-100 recruit.
