I would love to have Shaq back at AEW anytime

It is nothing new for All Elite Wrestling to welcome various celebrities to its shows, including NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, who Tony Khan says is always a welcome guest.

Speak with Sports illustratedKhan mentioned O’Neal – who infamously competed in a mixed tag team match for All Elite Wrestling in 2021 – and said he would love to have him back.

“I would love to have Shaq back in AEW whenever he is available,” Khan said. “He is one of the greatest basketball players of all time and extremely talented in numerous roles on television. Shaq is also the greatest celebrity wrestler in wrestling history.”

“But what people didn’t see is what happened backstage. When he wrestled in AEW, he walked around backstage and paid respect to all the wrestlers. He told the wrestlers, ‘I want you to look good.’ It was unbelievable. The most famous athlete in the world did that.”

Khan joked that O’Neal is still undefeated and praised how he has handled his short time with the company.

“We had Shaq and Sting in AEW at the same time and both are still undefeated,” Khan said. “Shaq is top-notch through and through. We’re very lucky to be under the same corporate umbrella at TNT and we’d love to welcome him back.”

The last time AEW fans saw Shaq, he was being taken away in an ambulance after his debut match.
