“Went out and didn’t buy my items,” complains one Sam’s Club customer after being overcharged, calling it “misleading advertising.”

SAM’S Club had to apologize to a customer who was charged a higher price at the checkout than what was stated on the shelf.

The Sam’s Club member left a negative review for the Kansas City location on Facebook.

Debbie Sackuvich was thrilled when she saw that strawberries were on sale because they were on her list.

Since the price was only $2.88, she decided to buy two.

“I used Scan and Go and was charged $3.87 each,” she wrote in the review.

“The employee could not help because it is ‘company business’ to correct pricing errors.”

“Scan and Go” is a popular feature in the Sam’s Club app that allows shoppers to scan items as they shop and pay for them all at once, instead of waiting in line at the checkout.

“How many grocery customers have overpaid for just this one item?” she asked the store.

“Grocery prices are high enough without misleading advertising. I went out and didn’t buy the items I had planned to.”

Sam’s Club immediately apologized and asked Debbie to send a private message with more information so they could rectify the situation.

POOR DELIVERY

Both in-store and online shoppers have issues with pricing.

Starting August 19, Sam’s Club Plus members will no longer receive free shipping on all orders.

Walmart CEO reveals Sam’s Club members will soon ‘no longer have to check receipts’ thanks to new AI that will ‘improve everything’

Annual membership now only offers free shipping on orders of $50 or more.

Buyers who purchase less than this amount will be charged an $8 delivery fee.

“Looks like I’m upgrading to a regular membership,” wrote one shopper in response to the announcement.

She said that the difference in benefits between the basic membership and the Plus option was not worth the price difference.

A Plus membership costs $110, while a basic membership costs just $50.

That’s $10 less than the basic Costco membership, which has always been an incentive for many Sam’s customers.
