Tangi Library offers online book club, Dear Readers | News

Barry Bradford (2024)

Did you know that the Tangipahoa Parish Library has an online book club? It’s called DearReader.com and allows you to discover a new book every morning.

Getting started is easy. Just go to the library’s website – www.tangilibrary.com – and look under “My 24-Hour Library.” There you will find the link to the online book club. Click on it and you will be taken to the Dear.Reader.com website. To sign up, enter your email address and you are ready to go. (DearReader does not share your email address with anyone else and your privacy is protected.)

DearReader.com offers you a wide selection of genres – fiction, nonfiction, young adult, business, romance, good news, science fiction, crime, thriller, first releases and classics. Choose the ones that interest you.

DearReader.com will then email you a few pages of a book each day. If you find the samples interesting, you can pick up copies from our library. If we don’t have copies of the book, we can get it for you. For someone who is busy and doesn’t have much time to browse the shelves, this is a great way to test out new books.

This service, like all library materials and services, is free. I have been a member myself for years and enjoy discovering new nonfiction books each week. I invite you to connect with DearReader.com today.
