Taylor Swift wears the colors of the Irish flag at the Dublin Eras Tour concert

Taylor Swift shows her Irish pride in Dublin.

On Friday (June 28), the 34-year-old pop superstar rocked a glittery outfit in the colors of the country’s flag at the opening concert of her Eras tour at the city’s Aviva Stadium.

When providing the 1989 For part of her performance, Swift wore a shimmering, jeweled orange crop top with a matching green skirt. The segment included popular songs from the 2014 album, including Billboard Hot 100 hits “Blank Space,” “Shake It Off” and “Bad Blood.”

At Friday’s concert, the “Anti-Hero” singer also presented two new mashups in the surprise song part of the set.

As the first surprise track of the evening, Swift presented a mashup of “State of Grace” from her 2012 Red Album and “You’re On Your Own, Kid” by midnight in 2022. This was the first time the singer played “You’re On Your Own, Kid” on acoustic guitar.

As a second surprise song, Swift delivered a medley of midnight“Sweet Nothing” and “Hoax” from folkloreThe latter was their first appearance of the 2020 track on the Eras Tour.

Elsewhere during the show, Swift also paid tribute to her boyfriend Travis Kelce by recreating the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s signature archer pose while singing “Midnight Rain” from her 2022 album. midnight Album.

Ahead of her three-day performance in Ireland, Swift got some love from the country’s most famous rockers. On Friday, she shared a photo of the flowers and a sweet message she received from legendary rock band U2 on her Instagram Stories.

Next to a bouquet of white, pink and purple roses and lilies was a card that read: “Dear Taylor, welcome back to our hometown… leave some of this?!!!!” The card was signed, “Your Irish fan club, Bono, Edge, Adam and Larry.”

In her Instagram stories, Swift responded with the caption, “I’m already feeling the Irish hospitality!! @u2 thank you for always being so classy and cool.” Swift also added an Irish flag emoji.

The superstar’s Eras Tour will take place from June 28th to 30th with three shows at the Aviva Stadium. Paramore is the guest of honor at all three concerts.
