The second single was released on June 7 and was accompanied by a music video starring her boyfriend Barry Keoghan.

Please Please Please debuted at number 2 on the Billboard charts in its first week.

Following the success of the single, Sabrina released five more versions of the song.

In addition to the original track and its clean version, Sabrina released acoustic, sped up, slowed down, a cappella and instrumental variations of the song.

Following the release, fans took to social media to note that Sabrina isn’t the only pop star to release multiple versions of the same song.

Taylor Swift also released multiple versions of her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” which was originally released on April 19.

One fan wrote in a Reddit thread: “I see you’re getting tips from Taylor… no wonder Sabrina has been going at it so hard lately.”

Another joked: “Did she ask Taylor for permission?”

Some fans speculated that Sabrina released multiple versions to improve her ranking on the Billboard charts.

“The charts are so broken,” was another comment in the thread.

“I hope she becomes number 1, but I also hope we rewrite the rules for charts and variations like this soon. It feels like a joke now and we all know that,” agreed a second.

“I hate that this is becoming the norm so they can compete with Taylor,” speculated a third.

CHART WARS

Taylor and Sabrina dominate the Billboard charts with their various releases.

Just hours after the release of TTPD, Taylor surprised fans with The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology.

The anthology included the first 16 songs from the original album, but fans were surprised to see 15 more tracks, bringing the total number of songs to a whopping 31.

Taylor is selling both CD and vinyl versions of the album, as well as an additional CD containing the first 16 tracks and the final song on the anthology, The Manuscript.

TTPD broke Billboard records and reached the top ten of the charts upon release.

Taylor is the only female artist to have charted in the top ten. She was the first artist to do so after the release of Midnights, breaking her own record with TTPD.

Taylor also released an exclusive Target edition of the vinyl record and several different deluxe versions that were only available for purchase within a 48-hour window.

Taylor has continued to release different versions of the album and its accompanying tracks since the release of TTPD in April.

She recently released a new version which includes live recordings of her Paris performance for British audiences.

Meanwhile, Sabrina’s hit “Espresso” was released on April 11th and has been climbing the charts ever since.

Last week, Sabrina occupied the top two spots on the Billboard Global 200 with “Espresso” at No. 1 and “Please Please Please” at No. 2.

Sabrina was quickly knocked off the top spot by Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s new collaboration, “I Had Some Help.”
