Chris Jericho appeared unannounced at the Arena Mexico on Friday night, attacked top star Místico and hinted at a future match.
Jericho, who wrestled for CMLL from 1993 to 1995 as Corazon de Leon, entered the ring wearing a Místico mask and attacked the fighter. Jericho appeared in the corner and applied a Judas Effect before revealing his identity.

Backstage, Jericho did a promo where he went over his history in Mexico, explaining that Arena Mexico was his home before it belonged to Mistico, and challenged Mistico to face him.

Jericho and Místico will compete in separate matches at AEW’s Forbidden Door. Jericho will team with Big Bill and Jeff Cobb against Samoa Joe, Hook and Katsuyori Shibata. Místico will team with The Lucha Bros. against Yota Tsuji, Hiromu Takahashi and Titan.
