Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star XXHI Release Date

It’s always been one of the more controversial, yet iconic reissues in the Converse arsenal: the Chuck Taylor All Star XXHi, or colloquially “knee-high Converse.” First introduced in the mid-2000s, the classic silhouette’s almost boot-like look found instant traction in certain sectors and among Converse fans. The day those people have been dreaming of is finally here, as the All Star XXHi is finally back on shelves.

The striking 14-inch upper draws on the 1980s punk aesthetic and scene/emo feel the shoe captured nearly two decades ago. The heart of the revitalized silhouette is obvious. However, this 2024 version retains some of the comfort-focused details Converse added to the CTA during the XXHi production era. Namely, OrthoLite cushioning aims for a more comfortable all-day ride, ensuring no support is lost in the pursuit of style.
