Country star Chris Young performs at the Budweiser Summer Concert Series in Elmwood Park

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Downtown Roanoke, Inc. is pleased to welcome county music star Chris Young as the second act in the Budweiser Summer Concert Series on August 23 in Elmwood Park.

Young is often called a country traditionalist because he pushes stylistic boundaries. He is an old soul with songs that express deep wisdom, but in a youthful style. Over the course of his career, Young has had 13 number one hits and more than two dozen chart-topping singles.

After scoring a major hit with Kane Brown in 2020 with “Famous Friends,” Young returned to the studio and dedicated himself to the many contrasts of his artistry. His artful studio time resulted in his ninth studio album, “Young Love & Saturday Nights,” which contains 18 of his most ambitious songs to date.

“We are thrilled to bring Chris Young to Elmwood Park this summer,” said Tina Workman, President and CEO of Downtown Roanoke, Inc. “We are committed to bringing world-class live entertainment to downtown and creating unforgettable experiences.”

General admission tickets for Chris Young are $49 plus taxes and fees and go on sale Thursday, June 20 at 10:00 a.m.
