Dystopian action thriller “Population Purge” gets a trailer

Ahead of its digital release in July, Gravitas Ventures has released a trailer for the dysoptic action thriller Population cleansing.

Directed by Brian Johnson, the film follows Charlie and his granddaughter Maya as they struggle to survive in an abandoned theme park after discovering they are immune to a deadly poison released by a radical government that has been devastating the population. Watch the trailer below…

In a dystopian world where a radical government has released a deadly poison to control the population, only those with AB positive blood remain unharmed. But instead of outright death, the rest of the population suffers a chronic disease that causes widespread chaos and panic. As the majority slowly succumb to the effects of the poison, their only hope is to receive transfusions of AB positive blood from the few survivors who are immune, like Charlie and his granddaughter Maya. Living in the dilapidated remains of an abandoned amusement park, Charlie is a renegade blood supplier to the black market. But their sanctuary is threatened by the iron rule of District 22’s ruthless warden, Onslow, who will stop at nothing to save his own dying son. As Charlie and Maya fight to defend their sanctuary and their own sanity, the eccentric duo must navigate a world of danger and betrayal.

Also in the cast of Population cleansing are S. Lamar Wilson, Peter Holland, Lyndsey Soto and Rebecca DeRienzo.

Population Purge will be released on digital platforms on July 9th.
