Love Island viewers were delighted by Grace’s food mistake

Love Island viewers were amused when official media channels pointed to a former islander following Grace’s cooking mishap.

In Thursday’s episode (June 20), new bombshells Matilda and Konnor were seen entering the villa and going on a one-on-one date, with Grace being the first to meet Konnor.

While preparing her meal, the islander made a mistake: she realized that her creation would give “Mitchim a star” and not a Michelin star. The official media account made fun of this mistake in a post.

In the recreated image, they referenced season 10 star “Messy” Mitch Taylor, and the meme’s tagline was, “Messy cuisine made with love.”

The innuendo amused some Love Island viewers, with one fan writing on X/Twitter: “Missing messy Mitch. Get my guy back.” Another fan also liked the innuendo, writing: “Seeing Mitch makes me happy haha.”

Elsewhere in the episode, Matilda’s bubbly personality seemed to go down well not only with Sean, who might finally find a connection in the villa, but also with viewers, who praised the new bombshell for her energy.

“Matilda’s aura really reminds me of the girls from the earlier seasons, I think I’m really going to like her #loveisland,” wrote a fanwith another addition: “Wait Matilda, it looks like she’s Sean’s freak equal!?!?! I’m so here for it #loveisland”

“Matilda is the best girl I’ve seen in this villa and not even a day has passed. She really seems like a decent person, I love it #Loveisland” wrote a third fanwith a fourth remark: “I like Matilda, she has great energy #LoveIsland”

The episode ended with another series of challenges as the Islanders had to smooch different co-stars depending on the scenario. Mimii wasn’t exactly pleased with Ayo after he decided to kiss Uma. Will there be tension in the air?
