Bubba Pollard defeats Casey Roderick to take 25th place in the Blizzard Series…

“I know Kevin Harvick and Chase Elliott brought you all, but I hope you come back,” Pollard said. “When I turn around and do a victory lap, it’s a great feeling to have the guys cheering you on. That’s what it’s all about. I love it.”

As Pollard celebrated his 25th Blizzard Series victory, he acknowledged that there was still one spot left in his trophy case: the Tom Dawson Trophy, awarded each year to the winner of the Snowball Derby.

“It just means I’ve been doing it too long. I guess it’s time to stop. I’ve got a few years left in me. We still want the December race. That’s what it’s about. We can win all the Blizzard races we want, but we want the December race. We were so close last year, but we’ll see if we can’t do it this year.”

Nasse started tenth in the 22-car field and worked his way up to second place. Ultimately, the fifth row starting position was too big a gap for the driver from Pinellas Park, Florida, to overcome.

“Bubba had a good car tonight,” Nasse said. “We just had a bad starting spot in qualifying and that really set us back. There were a lot of good cars out there tonight. Everyone was able to stay on the ground pretty well. It was tough to get by them.”

“I was able to make up quite a bit of ground there and thought I had a chance. I guess I didn’t have any more left than Bubba. Good job by the guys. We just have to work on it. We have a pretty good car.”

Casey Roderick started the evening in the ASA Southern Super Series and extended his lead with a third place. He is also at the top of the ASA STARS National Tour points table.

However, Roderick is keen to get back to winning ways and leading for three-quarters of the race on Friday has only fuelled his ambition.
