Melissa Joan Hart remembers Sabrina the Teenage Witch co-star Martin Mull

Melissa Joan Hart pays tribute to her former Sabrina – Totally Bewitched! Co-star and friend Martin Mull.

Mull’s daughter Maggie Mull announced the news of the actor’s death in a touching Instagram post on Friday, June 28. He was 80 years old.

Hart, 48, later reflected on her memories with Mull via Instagram. He appeared in over 70 episodes of the Hart-led sitcom as principal Willard Kraft from 1997 to 2000.

Looking back on their bond off-camera, Hart posted an old photo of her and Mull posing together in costumes on set.

“Rest in peace my friend. The incredible #MartinMull (Director Kraft) has left us for his eternal rest,” she began in the caption, adding, “I have such fond memories of working with him and am in awe of his vast body of work which included #Roseanne and #MrMom as the projects I knew him from prior to #SabrinaTheTeemageWitch.”

She praised Mull for his appearances in “major shows as well as feature films and animations” after his time at Sabrina.

Mull has also appeared in shows such as Two and a half men, Arrested development, The Ranch And The cool kidsHe received an Emmy nomination for his guest role in Veep in 2016. His films include Notice, Crazy man And Mrs. Doubtfire. Most recently he performed in Not dead yet, Grace and Frankie And The after-party.

In her tribute on Instagram, Hart shared how Mull explained why he took on so many roles.

“He once told me he would take any job offered to him just in case the train ran out, which often happens quickly in this business,” Hart wrote. “He was an artist who loved to paint and build things with his hands, a musician and a wonderful man I got to know better.”

In conclusion, the actress explained that the world is a better place thanks to Mull.

“He will be missed, but this world benefited from his presence,” she wrote. “My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. I will continue to cherish the Martin Mull artwork that hangs in my home!”
