Jenny McCarthy warns ‘The Masked Singer’ contestants to ‘be afraid’ when ‘Queen’ Clock makes her debut

Lizard, Poodle Moth and Spaghetti and Meatballs from Group C also performed for the first time at Billy Joel Night on Wednesday.

Shortly before nine o’clock on a Wednesday, The Masked Singer celebrated Billy Joel.

Robin Thicke opened the evening with his rendition of “My Life” before Poodle Moth began with the intros of Group C.

“All my life I was drawn to the flame, but I always felt that the bright light was never meant for me,” Poodle Moth said in her clue packet, which featured an American flag on a journal and a cowboy hat. “I told myself I would never be pretty enough or funny enough or talented enough to actually make it. So I took a step back and helped others achieve their dreams.”

Finally, Poodle Moth decided to “take the plunge, and I was discovered,” said the dog insect.

Poodle Moth covered “Just the Way You Are”.

“That was one of the best singing performances I’ve ever heard,” judge Rita Ora told Poodle Moth. “It was so graceful and so hypnotic.”

Grand Ole Opry served as an additional clue for Poodle Moth.

Options for the identity of Poodle Moth included Winona Ryder, Trisha Yearwood and Rita Wilson.

The watch was stamped next.

“I’m so excited to be here on Billy Joel Night because let’s face it, we’re both timeless,” Clock said in her clue package. “Once upon a time, I was the prom queen. I had the whole world dancing from dusk ’til dawn. Everyone knew my name, but as the years went by, trends started changing and I suddenly felt frozen in time. So that queen reinvented herself and I had great success again in my own way.”

The clue package also included a disco ball and a baby, and Clock mentioned that he would be performing for a president.

Clock crooned “Piano Man,” whereupon Jenny McCarthy issued a warning to the other participants: “It is time to be afraid, for this Queen has arrived at The Masked Singer”said McCarthy, 51.

As an added clue, one of the Men in Black played Joel’s hit “Vienna.” “Vienna is about seizing the day, and I actually have a day in my name,” Clock explained.

The jury was of the opinion that Clock could be Anita Baker, Evelyn “Champagne” King or Diana Ross.

Spaghetti with meatballs then delivered a cheeky performance.

“I’ve worn a lot of different hats throughout my career,” Spaghetti and Meatballs said in its clue package, which included a sports car and a chef’s hat. “In pursuit of a life filled with Italian dishes, they shared the most important lesson they’ve learned: ‘You don’t want to die young on a path you don’t love, so add some spice to it.'”

Spaghetti and meatballs took on “Only the good die young.”

“It had all the ingredients, darling!” cried Ora, 33.

As an additional clue, Spaghetti and Meatballs received a giant pizza with the words “Showtime” written on it. “I spend a lot of my time watching a hit show,” Spaghetti and Meatballs said.

Candidates for “Spaghetti with Meatballs” included Guy Fieri, Gordon Ramsay and Stanley Tucci.

Lizard ended the evening.

“Some people would describe me as a ladies’ man, the bad boy type from Billy Joel’s songs,” Lizard said in his clue packet. “But that’s not really who I am.”

The reptile explained that he was “blown away” when he met the love of his life, but years later, “she got fed up with my superstar games and threatened to leave me.”

“That’s when I had a premonition,” Lizard continued. “I told her I thought she was pregnant, and it turned out she was.”

The clue package also contained a heart-shaped lollipop, a crab cupcake and a Christmas decoration.

Lizard thrilled the audience with “Uptown Girl”.

A taxi brought a postcard marked “billboards” as an additional clue for Lizard. “I had a No. 1 billboard, and I’m not talking about Times Square,” Lizard said.

The judges of Lizard could be Ricky Bell, Michael Bivens, Ronnie DeVoe, Ralph Tresvant or Ray J.

The judges and studio audience voted for their favorite performances of the night, and host Nick Cannon announced that Lizard and Spaghetti and Meatballs received the fewest votes and would face off on Smackdown. Each contestant performed their own version of “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song).”

“It was one of my favorite songs, if not my favorite song ever, because the spaghetti and meatballs had a really good punch and it felt like the real record,” said Thicke, 47.

The judges voted again to decide who should stay and decided it would be Lizard. This forced Spaghetti and Meatballs to take off their masks. As the pasta chipped away from the oversized mustache mask, chef Joe Bastianich appeared.
