For many gamers, Capcom needs no introduction, as they have games like Street Fighter, MegamanAnd resident Evil into the spotlight, among many others. Often, many of his characters are integrated into various crossovers, including Puzzle Fighter, Capcom Combat DevelopmentAnd Carpets.

Project X Zonethe spiritual successor of the PS2 Namco X Capcom (as well as its Namco-exclusive spin-off Endless border) received mostly mixed reactions from reviewers. This is a rare entry, as it is one of Capcom’s few crossover series that focuses primarily on RPGs. Criticism was mostly directed at the gameplay, which was found to be boring by some. However, others reviewed it more positively.

Most of the praise has been given to the concept of crossover. The game features many characters from the various franchises involved, and each gets a fair amount of screen time. Due in part to the collision of these different worlds, the game has been positively described as “fan service.” These elements, as well as the interaction of all the different characters, whether from Capcom or elsewhere, make both games very entertaining.


The sequel received more positive reviews overall, despite receiving roughly the same score. Critics largely viewed it as an improvement over the first game and praised the more streamlined gameplay. The banter between the characters was also once again praised.

Beyond this franchise, Namco has collaborated with Capcom in games such as Street Fighter X Tekken, 7and an apparently imminent Tekken X Street Fighter.

Since both companies focus primarily on fighting games, a crossover with the implementation of the two characters simply made sense. Whether it SNK vs Capcom or Capcom vs SNK, The majority of fighting game crossovers received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics.

The game, which received a rather mixed response overall, was SNK vs Capcom. Although the first official game did not receive a rating on Metacritic, most critics seem to be positive about the later installments in the series. Marvel vs Capcom Series. Despite being one of the most critically acclaimed Capcom crossovers, this unique game has yet to see a resurrection, likely in part due to its unavailability outside of the Wii, a console where fighting games are not as popular.
