How Disney thwarted the planned Sons of Anarchy prequel

“Sons of Anarchy” almost got a second spin-off series, but Disney’s purchase of Fox and disputes with the film’s creator unfortunately prevented this.

This update follows the long delay of the film. First, the new Snow White The film was scheduled to be released in March 2024, but in October 2023, it was announced that the film had been postponed. It is not scheduled for release in March 2025. Disney attributed the delay to the SAG-AFTRA strike in 2023. The film had already been shot in 2022, but had to be reshot, which led to the delay.

Marc Webb leads the Snow White Remake. The film was written by Barbie Director Greta Gerwig alongside Erin Cressida Wilson. Rachel Zegler plays Snow White, while Wonder Woman Star Gal Gadot will play the evil queen. The film also stars Andrew Burnap, Ansu Kabia, Dujonna Gift and Martin Klebba. Marc Platt is producing.

The best Disney movies for older children (and adults)

Disney films have been popular with children for decades, but there are also plenty of films for older audiences to enjoy.

At the beginning of production, the film was criticized by game of Thrones Actor Peter Dinklage, who questioned the depiction of dwarf characters in the story. This led to speculation that the characters would be removed, but it has since been revealed that Zegler’s Snow White will be accompanied by seven CGI-animated companions. Zegler spoke about how CGI-intensive the film will be, and also shared that the new film will be different from the original animated film in many ways.

The new Snow White film uses a lot of CGI

“This is an iconic thing that people really care about,” Zegler told Variety of the film. “I don’t want to mess this up for anybody, including myself. The writers and (director) Marc Webb and our whole production team… story-wise, it’s a little different. We were able to do ‘Whistle While You Work,’ which made me really happy and excited. I was more nervous about the technical aspect. That first image was released… and there’s a lot of CGI in the movie.”

Snow White will be released in theaters on March 21, 2025.
