Taylor Swift: Grandmother and granddaughter from Dallas grow closer – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Nancy Strong and her granddaughter Jennifer Strong have just returned from a trip to London that was a mix of business and pleasure.

“London was planned for ages and we realized we had a night that clashed with Taylor Swift,” said Jennifer Strong. “We scrambled to get the tickets at the last minute, believe me,” said Nancy Strong.

Nancy Strong is not your typical Swiftie. “I’m a strong Swiftie,” she said, smiling. “People wonder why a 90-year-old feels that way. Believe me, I know that’s a lot of years, but at the end of the day, your heart is still 20 years old. You still have all those feelings. You still want to get up and dance!”

The Strongs have performed at an Eras Tour concert twice in the last two months. The first time was in Paris, where fellow member “Swiftie” filmed Nancy dancing during the concert and posted the video on social media, where it went viral.

“Taylor Swift has not only brought us closer together, but has also brought us so much joy,” said Jennifer Strong. “Her songs have brought us so much closer.”

“As a woman who started her career as a businesswoman in the ’70s and ’80s, I know how hard it can be,” said Nancy Strong. “So when she sings ‘The Man,’ I can relate to it!”

“She enjoys every day to the fullest. She wakes up and looks forward to the next adventure,” Jennifer Strong said of her grandmother. “She lives up to her last name, which is Strong!”

The Strongs said they want to see Taylor Swift again when she returns to the U.S. and goes to New Orleans.

They said the atmosphere on the Eras Tour was one of love and kindness.

“I think there would be more peace in the world if everyone was this kind every day,” said Nancy Strong.
