Miley Cyrus inspired by choir with older participants singing her song

Miley Cyrus is crazy about having a choir that will record anyone singing one of her most emotional hits.

The 31-year-old “Malibu” singer left a comment on a recent video posted on TikTok by Pop Choir Australia, in which the members (many of them elderly) sing their hit “Used to Be Young.”

“You are all STILL beautiful! This video lit up my heart. OA moments like this are why I wrote U2BY!” Cyrus wrote in the comments of the TikTok video on Friday, June 28. “Physical youth comes and goes but the soul can stay young forever!! I love you all! Thank you for making my day.”

The video showed a large group of people in casual clothes singing the ballad. Many of the singers appeared to be elderly and some were in wheelchairs.

Although many members of the Australian group appear older, the Pop Choir is suitable for anyone who enjoys singing, according to its website.

“Pop Choir is a new form of choir for anyone who loves to sing!” the website says. “A tired and overworked professional or a stressed-out parent, someone who likes to belt out their favorite song in the car or in the shower, or the next Guy Sebastian. Pop Choir is fun for everyone and surprisingly cool!”

The choirs often perform at local community events after being taught by teachers how to harmonize pop hits.

Cyrus’ moment of bonding with the amateur singers comes weeks after a source told PEOPLE that the “Wrecking Ball” singer is actually living a “very normal and quiet” life with her boyfriend Maxx Morando and is “really thriving.”
