Downstait announces new wrestling theme song

Downstait has become synonymous with one of WWE’s most popular theme songs: “Kingdom,” which Cody Rhodes famously used for his ring entrances. Their association with WWE began with The Miz’s theme song and continues with hints of new music for another wrestler.

During an appearance on Reffin It Up, guitarist Justin Call mentioned that the band is always working on someone else. Singer Zack Call added that they prefer to keep their projects under wraps until the artists start promoting them. He noted that they have been focusing on rebranding efforts lately, expressing that they are proud of their track record.

“We like to keep it a secret until the artist comes out and starts promoting. Most of our current activities are rebranding activities. We don’t want to brag, but most of the time when we get a wrestler, him or her, they’re going somewhere with it. We have this weird lucky charm on all of these artists. It seems like they’re going somewhere when they get us. Since the beginning of this year, we’ve been working with wrestlers nonstop.”

Justin stressed that it was up to the wrestlers to make the most of it once they had the music ready and made it clear that he would not reveal who the new song was for.

It’s not our song to mess up. Ultimately, when we give them the music, it’s up to them to do something with it. They just keep going.”

We’ll have to wait and see which pro wrestler ends up getting a new theme song courtesy of Downstait, as it would be a huge win for the pro wrestler to have such a talented band produce the entrance theme song.
