When opening her second location, franchise owner Danielle Noga-Sisto said Shelton had a number of characteristics that made it a good fit for the company.

“Shelton is a growing community with well-known brands and companies investing heavily in the area,” Noga-Sisto told Patch. “The city’s demographics are a perfect fit for our Club Pilates clientele.”

The location on Fountain Square, where numerous new stores have opened this year alone, was also an attractive factor.

“Fountain Square is a beautiful space in a prime location on Bridgeport Avenue,” said Noga-Sisto, “easily accessible from the freeways, with strong anchor tenants and great parking.”

Bill Purcell, president of the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce, celebrated the addition of Club Pilates to the growing list of businesses that have recently located in Fountain Square.

Recent businesses opening in the plaza in 2024 include Crumbl Cookies, Jersey Mike’s Subs and Sugar Llamas, according to Purcell, along with other health and wellness businesses such as Physicians One Urgent Care, Stretch Labs, European Wax Center and a new Eye Care Center.

Playa Bowls, a chain specializing in acai, pitaya and coconut bowls as well as unique smoothies, also announced plans earlier this month to open a new location in Fountain Square later this year.

“Club Pilates is the latest addition to this growing group of exciting new businesses that have set up shop in Fountain Square in recent months,” Purcell said. “This is the second Club Pilates franchise owned by Danielle Noga-Sisto, and she is off to a great start with many classes booked up seven days a week.”

Noga-Sisto said Club Pilates is the only boutique Pilates studio in Shelton. The studio offers group classes using 12 reformers, is open seven days a week and offers an average of 80 classes per week.

“Our team is great,” said Noga-Sisto, “and all of our instructors have extensive training, certifications and years of experience.”

The studio also offers free weekly taster classes where interested but unsure clients can learn more about the Club Pilates experience.

“If group fitness isn’t for you or you’re looking for a one-on-one experience, we also offer private training sessions,” Noga-Sisto said.

Noga-Sisto encouraged anyone interested in Pilates – a sport she described as “life-changing” – to come to Fountain Square and try it, no matter their experience level.

“It’s really for everyone,” said Noga-Sisto. “Don’t be intimidated by the equipment, your fitness level or lack of experience. We love beginners.”
