Celebrity Gogglebox: Stephen Mangan’s family, including his famous wife, children and doppelgänger

Celebrity Gogglebox has recently returned with a new series and some of our favourite celebs are back on the sofa to give their hilarious commentary on this week’s TV programme.

A couple who have appeared on the show many times is an actor and comedian Stephen Mangan and his sister Anita.

Aside from the fact that they look alike, the two obviously have a great bond and close relationship and are often inspired by each other’s humor.

Who are Stephen Mangan’s wife and children?

Stephen is best known for his roles in comedy shows such as Episodes, Green Wing and – more recently – The Split, but his wife is also familiar with working in television.

Stephen is married to actress Louise Delamere, who has appeared in series such as Holby City and No Angels on Channel 4.

Not much other information is known about their marriage and family as they prefer to keep their personal lives private and away from the spotlight, but the couple married in 2007 and have three sons together: Harry, Frank and Jack.

Stephen has two sisters, Lisa and Anita. Anita is with Stephen Google Box but the Channel 4 programme is not the first time they have worked together, having written several children’s books together, including their latest, The day I fell into the toilet.

In 2022, Stephen and Anita spoke to The Guardian about their close bond.

“There was only 14 months between us, so I can’t remember life without her,” said the actor from “The Split.” “We were very close even as teenagers.”

Anita said: “Stephen has been acting since he was seven. At school he was in Beauty and the Beast, where he played Beauty with a reddish-brown wig. I remember people coming up to us and saying, ‘He’s so good, he’s so talented!’ and I thought, ‘No, he’s not. He’s Stephen.'”

Stephen Mangan’s heartbreaking family tragedy

Stephen spoke openly about the tragedy he and his siblings experienced with the death of their parents. Their mother died of cancer and 14 years later their father died of a brain tumor.

Stephen told the Guardian: “When she died, and when my father died 14 years later, I was so grateful that we were always so open about our feelings. We went out to eat and ended up sitting around a table hysterical and crying.”

The actor also explained how comedy got them through dark times. He previously told the Independent: “When I was going through the most traumatic and difficult time of my life and watching my parents die, there were moments when it was funny.

“Now you could stand by and say, ‘Oh, you think it’s funny that your mother dies? You think it’s funny that your father dies?’ No. But as a human being, that ability to find humor in the darkest moments can save you.

“In the bleakest, darkest moments, comedy can bring light into the darkness.”
