Charles Wesley Godwin releases unreleased song “The Little Things” and gives a taste of new music coming this year

New music is on the way from Charles Wesley Godwin.

In fact, there’s already fresh music from CWG – in the form of this latest teaser he just released for a song called “The Little Things.” Godwin has always been a talented and gifted artist, but it’s with his latest project that he’s really hit his stride. Family ties.

The West Virginia native not only published his most personal and emotional album Late last year, he paired three of the songs from the project with a poignant and artistic short film that Godwin called “Family Ties Trilogy.” If you haven’t seen it yet, you should definitely check it out, because it’s now In its entirety.

Although Family ties and the accompanying short film should keep fans hooked for quite some time, CWG is already teasing new music. He often gives his social media followers a glimpse into his “notebook,” and in the latest clip, Godwin shared a new song called “The Little Things.” And it wasn’t actually a teaser, as he gave us a look at the entire song.

The unreleased track is about appreciating the little moments in life that we often take for granted, like the first sip of coffee or the sunrise. It’s just another great example of Godwin diving into a simple, experienced emotion and turning it into a complex, yet relatable song.

In addition to the preview of “The Little Things,” he also revealed that he recorded new music during his tour and provided an exciting update:

“‘The little things.’ Straight from the notebook! Recorded a few songs on the road this year. I think we’ll be releasing new music in 2024! Enjoy!”
