What to expect from Michigan State football in EA Sports College Football 25

The last time you could play Michigan State football in a video game was in Madden NFL 22, when the Spartans were one of the featured teams in Career Mode and the player could choose to lead them to the College Football Playoff championship.

That wasn’t much, as Madden certainly had its flaws; for the last true college football video game experience, you have to go all the way back to NCAA Football 14.

This game took place during the 2013 season, before Michigan State won the 100th Rose Bowl. That was over a decade ago now, and like many others, I’m dying to see the game again.

That will change on July 19, as EA Sports announced as the official release date for the new game.

The Michigan State University football team shared a screenshot of Sparty in action in the trailer via their X-page.

It wasn’t much, but it definitely got me thinking about what to expect in this new game.

The chance to play a video game with my alma mater one more time is just an amazing feeling. Being able to create a player and play for the college of your choice, or in this case Michigan State, makes me think back to my youth.

Building a dynasty with Michigan State will certainly be fun, especially with the real players in the game.

The idea of playing as new Spartan quarterback Aidan Chiles and trying to make him a Heisman winner is one of the first things I’m excited about.

But that’s not the only thing to pay attention to, there’s also the atmosphere in the stadium, the brass bands and the music. Who could forget the most important character in the game, Sparty? Seeing him on his famous run out of the tunnel of the Spartan Stadium.

July can’t come soon enough.
