Justin Timberlake’s lawyer responds to the drunk driving charges brought against the “SexyBack” singer

Now fans are learning more about the pop star’s arrest for alleged drunk driving.

After spending the night in a Hamptons jail, Justin Timberlake’s attorney released a statement obtained by The National Desk.

I look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations. I will have much to say in due course, but am currently awaiting the full findings from the prosecution.

Edward Burke Jr., who represents the 43-year-old Grammy winner, was seen leaving New York’s Sag Harbor Police Department with Timberlake on Tuesday.

The megastar was reportedly at the American Hotel before getting behind the wheel of a 2025 BMW in an “intoxicated state.”

Live surveillance video from the village cameras showed a vehicle matching the description of the SUV that Timberlake was said to have been driving.

It was reportedly captured shortly before Timberlake was stopped by a Sag Harbor police officer at 12:37 a.m.

According to court documents, the singer failed to obey a stop sign and veered out of his lane for several blocks before the police officer stopped traffic.

Timberlake was said to have a slowed speech pattern and an unsteady gait. The document also noted that he “performed poorly” on a breathalyzer test.

The celebrity’s booking photo confirmed that Timberlake had “bloodshot” and “glassy” eyes, which was also noted in the arrest affidavit.

The officer also described Timberlake’s breath as smelling like an “alcoholic beverage.”

Timberlake admitted to drinking and told the officer, “I drank a martini and followed my friends home,” the document states.

Another famous singer who was staying at the same hotel as Timberlake commented on the arrest when asked by a reporter.

“No, don’t judge, lest you be judged,” musician Bill Joel told WCBS.

A press release said Timberlake was released on parole.

The former NSYNC member pleaded not guilty and has a court hearing next month

Burke Jr. confirmed that the star did not have to appear in person.
