Voice of radio calls in Metal Gear Solid Delta slightly changed

Details on voice output for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater were announced, particularly with regard to the handling of radio calls to control new controls. These new details were published as part of the Metal gear The production hotline event was streamed online by Konami and it was confirmed that the original dubbing would be reused.

Metal Gear Solid Delta Producer Noriaki Okamura was asked about the dubbing during the Q&A portion of the stream. He confirmed that there will be no changes to the story in the remake, meaning the original voices will be retained from the original. Due to changes to how the controls work in the remake, these lines will need to be changed to reflect these changes. For actors who were not available to re-record their lines, new lines will be created from their original recordings with full permission.

While the details on the voice acting are still new, we already knew that the original cast would be returning. In the gameplay trailer shown at the Xbox Games Showcase in June 2024, many of those cast members were prominently featured, including David Hayter’s appearance as Naked Snake.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be released on a yet to be announced date for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
