Chris Hemsworth’s journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been a crazy one. His character Thor Odinson has gone through a lot of evolution and reinvention over the past decade, and yet he remains one of the strongest and most impressive Avengers of all time.
It is safe to say that Thor has had many iconic moments throughout the saga, but there is one scene in Avengers: Infinity War what he is most proud of. This particular feat showed the extent of his power as well as his burning passion to defeat the Mad Titan.

On his official Þjórsárden Account, actor Chris Hemsworth shared a video clip from 2018 Avengers: Infinity War where Thor arrives in Wakanda. The scene begins in the midst of chaos as the Avengers battle the enemies. Captain America, Iron Patriot, Iron Man, Black Panther and Bruce Banner fight to defeat the Outriders.
Shortly after, a powerful beam of light came down from above, revealing Stormbreaker. The axe flew across the field like a boomerang, striking down several enemies. Then Thor appears as he catches his new weapon. In the caption, the actor wrote: “Bring me Thanos!!!”

In an interview with BBC Radio 1The Australian heartthrob spoke about this special scene.
It was something very special. I hadn’t seen the film yet and Joe Russo told me about it now. When we were shooting that scene, I just thought, “No, yeah,” I didn’t think it was going to be a special scene.
He admitted, “real kind of tingling“ when he finally saw it. “It was the first time I saw the special effects that were incorporated into the scenery.,” Hemsworth recalled. The actor said someone from India sent him an audio clip of an audience member’s reaction. “It was, they said, three minutes of cheering and shouting. It was crazy,” he added.
It’s still a little annoying considering that this kind of collective fan reaction to an incredibly epic scene may never happen again in future installments of the MCU. Avengers: Secret Wars promises exciting things, but without the original heroes of this franchise, it won’t feel the same as before.
Will Thor be there? Avengers: Secret Wars?
It remains a mystery what role Thor will play in the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars. The director position is still vacant. An official cast has not yet been announced. After the debacle on the fourth Thor In the film, Chris Hemsworth expressed his willingness to return in the hope of reprising his role.
The actor confessed via Vanity Fair that he thinks “he owes the audience another Thor after having only a hint of success with Thor: Love and Thunder.” If this becomes a reality, there is a possibility that he will continue his journey towards Avengers 6.
So far, there is little news about Thor’s involvement as Marvel Studios focuses on upcoming releases for this year through 2025.
