Nancy Rodriguez found love again after having her heart broken Love is blind Season 3. And although she doesn’t feel the need to walk down the aisle again, Rodriguez has a timeline for when she wants to say “I do” to her new husband.

“I’m in my mid-30s, and in two years I want to be engaged or married,” Rodriguez, 34, told PEOPLE at the Wildly Better Well-Being event celebrating the launch of Roxanne Kaiser’s Proxy gummy bears on June 21 in NYC. “I know in a year if I want to continue with you, and I do. So let’s wait another year to get to know each other more.”

The Netflix reality star revealed that she recently had her eggs frozen, which made her less concerned about the timeline of her relationship with her boyfriend, who she has been dating since early 2023 and whose name she has not publicly disclosed.

“At the time, I was like, ‘OK, I’m turning 35 this year. I’m under pressure because my biological clock is ticking.’ So I was a little more worried about whether we were going to get married,” Rodriguez admitted. “After I froze my eggs and he went through that process with me and supported me, I realized that my biological clock is not in anyone’s hands. I can continue living my life and continue learning in my relationship.”

Rodriguez said that while she hopes to become a mother “one day,” for now she wants to make sure she “finds someone who will stick with her or die.”

“Ultimately, in 55 years, I want to be married to my best friend, regardless of the money, physical attraction and everything else that comes with it,” she explained. “I want to be with my best friend and leave a legacy.”

To make sure she and her boyfriend feel ready to take this step toward “forever,” they plan to start couples therapy together.

“You don’t have to be in crisis mode to go to therapy. You don’t have to be crazy to go to therapy,” Rodriguez said. “It can be proactive.”

The real estate investor hopes that a therapist will give her “insight into our relationship” and help her and her boyfriend “become stronger before they make the decision to take the next step.”

“I’m really looking forward to us staying in touch,” said Rodriguez, who initially went into therapy after filming “The 4000.” Love is blindsaid. “I think if (therapy) became more of the norm, it could actually help people move on who maybe shouldn’t be together if that’s not their calling.”

Rodriguez described her boyfriend as “a huge mental health advocate” who has “such a big heart.” She said he works in educational consulting with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion and is committed to making colleges “accessible to people who look like us – people of color.”

“Watching him move inspires me to keep improving,” she said. “If that’s what I can ask of a life partner, I want that for 55 years.”
