Goldberg says he would like another match

Goldberg may not be finished in the ring yet.

WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg was recently a guest at Broken open radioWhen asked if he would be interested in taking part in one last fight, Goldberg said he would love to, but first he would need to have his torn rotator cuff treated.

“Oh man, I’d love to, dude, 100%,” Goldberg said. “But I’ve got to finally get my torn rotator cuff fixed because… we all live with these injuries, right, and I’ll be honest, when I came back with Brock (Lesnar), and nobody knew this, that first night in Denver, I completely tore my rotator cuff, and I didn’t tell anybody. I kept working because you train sparingly, once, twice a year.

“So I can peak and get as strong as I can. I’m not doing anything until I do that, and hopefully that’s soon. I’m going to take stem cells here soon and then I’ll see if I need surgery. But yeah, man. I’d like one more match. You know how it is.

“Vince and I talked about it and he gave me his word, but all of this happened. Hey, man, I hold no grudges. Vince gave me so many opportunities, man. I’ll be eternally grateful to him. But yeah, I would absolutely love that endgame, I would. Is it good for me not to have it? Yeah, I’m OK with that. But it would be great to have it.”

Goldberg doesn’t believe his last match has to be in WWE or AEW

When asked if he wanted to have his final fight in WWE or All Elite Wrestling, Goldberg clarified that he didn’t think it was necessary to have it in a specific company as he could do it himself.

“I wouldn’t have to work with anyone, I could do it myself and achieve what I wanted to achieve,” Goldberg said. “I could do the advertising myself abroad, in Israel, in India, in Japan, maybe in the United States.”

“I don’t know. I’ve thought about a lot of things. But you’ve seen me, I’ve put my life on hold for the last 18 years because of my son. Everyone asks, ‘Why have you lost so much weight?’ Well, I’ve lost so much weight because every night at dinner, when there are four steaks, I give him three and take one.

“My life was completely focused on getting my son into a situation where he would hopefully be prepared for the next part of his life. Now my son is gone, and has been gone for two or three weeks, and I’ve become a little bit of myself again (laughs), for better or for worse or indifferent. Mostly for the better, apart from being able to fill my time with things without having to worry about what the hell my son is doing and whether he needs me or not and what’s going on.

“So I’m starting Muay Thai again, I’m training again, I’m eating again, I’m taking care of myself. I’m doing things I haven’t done in a long time. You never know, you never say never. We wrestlers never stop until you’re dead.” (H/T: Combative)
