Prescribe FIT raises .8 million in Series A funding

Prescribe FITa Columbus, Ohio-based provider of remote patient monitoring (RPM) technology and lifestyle health coaching solutions, has raised $4.8 million in Series A funding round.

Supporters included Jim Grote, Tamarind Hill, Jobs Ohio Growth Capital, Dr. Keith Berend, Dr. David Dickerson, Tom DiMarco, Tom Feeney, Mike Kaufmann, Dr. Adolph Lombardi, Jr., Dr. Mark Malinowski and Matt Scantland.

The company plans to use the funds to hire additional health coaches.

Led by Brock Leonti, CEO and Founder, and Jack Gainer, President and COO, Prescribe FIT is a remote patient monitoring (RPM) and virtual lifestyle health coaching solution designed specifically for orthopedic practices to best prepare patients for surgery and improve musculoskeletal (MSK) health. By combining technology with one-on-one coaching and patient care, it helps patients reduce pain, improve mobility, and lose weight through simple changes in diet, physical activity, and lifestyle.

The company plans to launch several innovative solutions designed to expand care and improve the daily lives of more patients, including remote therapeutics monitoring (RTM) to reduce pain and improve mobility, a smoking cessation program focused on optimizing surgeries, and an AI-driven solution to increase patient engagement.

Prescribe FIT will continue to focus on patients with musculoskeletal disorders for now and is intended to be an extension of every private orthopedic practice in the country. In 2023, the offering will expand to practices from Hawaii and Washington to New Jersey and Florida.
