Man who allegedly stabbed Duluth woman is arrested in Michigan two months later

DULUTH – A man accused of fatally stabbing a Duluth woman in the neck outside a downtown bar in mid-April has been arrested by U.S. Marshalls in his home state of Michigan.

Darrius Lamar Plummer, 34, was arrested Wednesday and remained in custody until Thursday in Wayne County, Michigan, where he was listed as a fugitive.

Plummer is charged with second-degree premeditated murder in connection with the April 12 killing of 25-year-old Chantel Raechelle Moose. A warrant was issued for his arrest a week later.

According to the criminal complaint:

Plummer, who knew the victim, began arguing with Moose and her friends towards the end of the bar outside Spurs on First. He allegedly pulled out a knife and threatened to stab anyone who got in his way.

When a bouncer intervened, Plummer reached around and swung the knife at Moose. She backed away and then collapsed. Moose was pronounced dead at a Duluth hospital.

Plummer ran away but was pursued by Kimonte Travion Cadge, 26, who struck him with a pistol and shot him.

Cadge is currently in the Cook County Jail in Chicago and is charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.

Trayvon Joseph Walters, 26, of Duluth, is charged with the same charges as Cadge but is still at large. He is also accused of shooting Plummer and Cadge, who was being treated for a gunshot wound that night.

According to Duluth police, the investigation is ongoing.

Moose enjoyed dancing, music and spending time with friends and family. In her obituary she was described as a woman with a great sense of humor. She had a young daughter.
