Joe Biden admitted to being ill after expressing concerns about his croaking voice during the presidential debate – he said he had a “sore throat”.

Biden, 81, went to the Waffle House in Atlanta after the showdown with Donald Trump on CNN, where he spoke to reporters and defended his performance. There had previously been concerns about Biden’s voice, which sounded unusually weak and scratchy. Despite those concerns, Biden said he “did well,” adding that it was “hard to argue with a liar – the New York Times pointed out that he lied 26 times,” in a pointed commentary on Trump’s numerous outpourings.
