Israel warns of ‘total war’ with Hezbollah, while Hamas official rejoices over October 7

Israel warned of an “all-out war” in Lebanon after Hezbollah militants released disturbing drone footage of threats against the Jewish state. Hamas’s representative in Lebanon also claimed the terror group would repeat the October 7 massacre if given the chance.

As tensions rise along the Israeli-Lebanese border, the Iran-backed terror group Hezbollah on Tuesday released a roughly 10-minute video, allegedly shot by a drone, showing several Israeli military sites and residential towns marked as “densely populated.”

Israeli officials strongly condemned the propaganda video, calling it a blatant threat against the Jewish state and warning Hamas’ allies and the Iran-backed terror group that they would lose if a two-front war broke out.

“We are approaching the moment when we decide to change the rules of the game against Hezbollah and Lebanon,” Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said in a statement.

“In a full-scale war, Hezbollah would be destroyed and Lebanon would be severely defeated,” he added.

The disturbing footage focuses primarily on the city of Haifa, where the terrorists attacked a military base and a port as well as Israel’s Iron Dome defense system, the Times of Israel reports.

The video also showed the residential area in Kiryat Yam. Hifa Mayor Yona Yahav condemned the video as “psychological terror” and called on the IDF to ensure the security of his city.

“I demand that the government present a plan for the massive defense of Haifa and find a military solution to eliminate the threat from the north,” Yahav told Israeli radio station Reshet Bet.

Hezbollah warned that the drone footage was just one of several it had prepared.

The terror group released the threatening video just days after Hamas’s representative in Lebanon, Ahmad Abd Al-Hadi, expressed glee in an interview with a Lebanese newspaper over the October 7 massacre that left more than 1,200 people dead and sparked the war in the Gaza Strip.

Although the Hamas-run Health Ministry says more than 37,000 people have died in Gaza since the war began, Al-Hadi laughed when a reporter from the Annahar newspaper asked him if he could go back in time and change the outcome, according to a translation by Memri TV.

“We would do it again!” Al-Hadi said with a laugh, claiming the attack was necessary to stop an alliance seeking lasting peace in the Middle East.

“The Palestinian cause was on the verge of elimination. In line with American engagement in the region, the occupation was integrated into the region,” he claimed of US-led talks to normalize Israeli-Arab relations.

The terrorists also claimed that the October 7 attack was a “preemptive strike” and accused Israel of planning an attack on Gaza first, but provided no evidence for this.

“We wanted to turn the tables and tell them: Palestine is here to stay,” Al-Hadi said. “So if we could turn back time, we would do it again, because the justifications still exist.”

The ongoing rocket attacks between the Israeli army and Hezbollah have forced tens of thousands of civilians to flee their homes in northern Israel and southern Lebanon.

According to the Israeli military, around 18 Israeli soldiers and ten civilians were killed in attacks by the terrorist group.

The Israeli military estimates that it has killed more than 320 Hezbollah members since the conflict began.
