A knee-length leopard-print coat by Saint Laurent, a bright blue two-piece suit, Gucci loafers emblazoned with the words “Suck Me”, a royal blue tracksuit by Versace – these are just some of the unique designer pieces from Elton John’s legendary wardrobe that are now available on eBay as part of an auction benefiting the singer’s AIDS foundation.

The “Rocket Man Resale,” which went live on eBay’s website Thursday morning, includes hundreds of items from John’s personal closet, including custom Gucci jackets, Versace robes, custom Prada loafers, as well as affordable items like vintage concert T-shirts and baseball caps. The auction begins June 27, and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

All items auctioned on eBay will have a starting bid of $26.60 – a nod to Elton's former Atlanta home, Peachtree Road – and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

“Breathing new life into the treasured pieces of my wardrobe has always been special to me. For decades, I have donated the treasures of my closet to support the Elton John AIDS Foundation,” John said in a statement. “This Pride Month, I’m excited to share my Atlanta-based treasure trove on eBay in the hopes that these items will inspire you to express your unique spirit and bring you as much joy as they have brought me. Whether you’re looking for high-end luxury or something more relaxed, there’s a perfect find for everyone. And even better, every dollar goes to the Elton John AIDS Foundation, which works to end LGBTQ+ stigma.”

To kick off the auction on Thursday, creative entrepreneur Emma Rogue and singer-songwriter Stephen Sanchez hosted a live-streamed shopping event on eBay Live with Elton John and David Furnish. In addition to hundreds of pieces from Elton’s closet, David Furnish, Donatella Versace, Brandi Carlile, Betsey Johnson, Robin Roberts and Andy Cohen will offer select pre-owned pieces from their own closets. The collection can also be viewed at a New York City store on June 27, which will be open from 2-6 p.m. ET.

“Elton John’s wardrobe has been created over decades – owning something he wore is like owning a piece of music and fashion history,” said Charis Marquez, eBay’s vice president of fashion, in a statement. “Having a cultural icon sell his used fashion on eBay to support the Elton John AIDS Foundation is a true indicator of our ability to provide incredible access to luxury items that can’t be found anywhere else.”
