Joe Biden and Donald Trump face off tonight in the first of two crucial presidential debates. With the future of U.S. politics hanging in the balance, Biden’s voice has been in the spotlight.

Biden’s voice condition worried viewers and sparked accusations about the 81-year-old’s health. Human behavior and body language expert Mark Bowden explained why Biden’s voice sounded weak.




He told the Irish Star: “Biden appeared to not recognize where the camera was during his appearance. His voice was hoarse.” The bestselling author and founder of TruthPlane said Biden’s voice lacked “power.”

He said: “His voice has no power. I would say he doesn’t have the lung power.”

It seems that Biden’s vocal problems could also be the result of a short-term problem such as illness. Mark, a member of the Behavior Panel team, continued, “He was doing better a few days ago on the state of the union.”
