Jeremih hires Chris Brown and Bryson Tiller for new song “Wait on It”

For his new single “Wait On It,” Jeremih collaborates with Chris Brown and Bryson Tiller.

In “Wait On It,” produced by Cássio and Retro Future, the R&B gentlemen sing about the thrill of a relationship – even when they aren’t sure where they actually stand.

“Maybe I’ll just kiss her on the lips right next to her hips, like mwah, baby / Pop champagne is older than that Lo Spumante,” Jeremih sings in the first verse.

Tiller appears in the second verse, singing, “We haven’t talked for a minute / I’m not trying to play with your feelings / I need to know if you’re still his or mine.”

Finally, Breezy comes on the scene in the third verse, singing, “White sands that you rode the boat to / Now you got all these new friends trying to coach you / I still remember when I was always your go-to guy.”

Speaking about his new collaboration, Jeremih says, “I feel like big songs have become a lost art in male R&B, and with me, CB and Bryson, it feels great right away. I know a lot of people will say it’s been too long, and I agree with them. I definitely felt like I was missing in R&B, but I didn’t want to come back with something that I felt wasn’t timeless.”

He continues: “After touring with 50 Cent last year, I finally had some time to put together something that I think can last forever again.”

“Wait On It” is Jeremih’s first proper single since “Room” featuring Adekunle Gold and 2 Chainz in July 2023.

“Wait On It” is the first taste of Jeremih’s upcoming series of releases, which includes three seven-track EPs and an album to follow the 2015 album. Late Nights: The Album.

As for Brown, the R&B star is on his 11:11 lead in support of his 11th album, 11:11with special guests Maeta and Muni Long. The album was released on November 10, 2023 via RCA Records. On April 11, Brown released 11:11 (Deluxe)an expanded version of the album consisting of 13 new tracks.

Meanwhile, Tiller is at the end of The Bryson Tiller Tournamed after his album of the same name. The 19-track project was preceded by the singles “Outside”, “Whatever She Wants” and “Calypso”. Also featured are Victoria Monét and Clara La San.
