Former WWE says he would love a chance at AEW

A former WWE star said he would love a chance at AEW as he believes he and his tag team partner can offer something unique.

Having not appeared in major televised wrestling since leaving WWE, the former Maximum Male Models – now MxM (Mason Madden and Mansoor) – apparently have ideas for television.

In the Inside MxM Twitch stream with Madden and Mansoor, the two had Dijak as a guest for a chat, as he is about to enter free agency.

When someone in the chat donated money to ask the trio a question about what pitch they would make for AEW now, Madden shared some thoughts.

He says he believes AEW has “great talent that puts on great matches” and would advocate for them to focus more on “tremendous character,” in the style of “Timeless” Toni Storm.

He stated that he was confident that MxM could absolutely fill the role of compelling characters both in the ring and in pre-taped segments.

He said:

“I would love to try to do something like that at AEW if I had the creative freedom and opportunity.”

Fightful previously reported that Madden and Mansoor recently held talks with AEW/ROH.

Elsewhere in the Twitch stream, the trio discussed a variety of topics, including Dijak recounting a moment where he believed WWE management was “looking for a reason not to like him.”
