President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump will debate for the first time in the 2024 election cycle on Thursday night, and the person who moderated the two’s wild first debate in 2020 offered some insight into how this round could be different.

CNN host Chris Wallace suggested on “The Source with Kaitlin Collins” that Trump might change tactics in the first debate of the 2024 presidential election.

“I’ve talked to a lot of people in the upper echelons of his staff. They say he’s finally understanding how poorly he did in the 2020 debate,” Wallace said. “The two words that come out — that you don’t usually hear from the Trump camp — are ‘nice’ and ‘respectful.'”

Wallace moderated the first debate in 2020 while still a Fox News anchor, and the debate produced several pivotal moments in the campaign.
