Several actors from “Everybody Hates Chris” take on roles again in animated series

Chris Rock, Terry Crews and Tichina Arnold will repeat their former Everyone hates Chris Roles in the upcoming reinterpreted animated version, Everyone still hates Chris, diversity reports.

The half-hour animated series received the green light for the first time in August 2022. In it, Rock tells stories inspired by his experiences growing up in a large working-class family in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn in the late 1980s. Crews and Arnold return as Chris’ parents Julius and Rochelle.

New additions to the franchise include Tim Johnson Jr. as young Chris, Ozioma Akagha as Tonya, Chris’ little sister, Terrence Little Gardenhigh as Drew, the family’s golden child, and Gunnar Sizemore as Greg, Chris’ only friend.

Everyone hates Chris won a 2007 NAACP Image Award for his screenplay and was nominated for a Golden Globe and several Emmy Awards.

Executive Producer of Rock with Sanjay Shah (King of the Hill, South Park, Central Park), who will also serve as showrunner, as well as Ali LeRoi, Michael Rotenberg and Dave Becky. CBS Studios and 3 Arts Entertainment are producing the series.

Everyone still hates Chris will premiere on Comedy Central later this year and stream on Paramount+ at a later date.
