Are you planning to watch the presidential debate?

TAMPA, Florida – The presidential debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump will take place Thursday night.

Our Jada Williams got some quick reactions to the debate from people on the Riverwalk in Tampa.

Watch one person talk about what they expect from the candidates in tonight’s debate:

“Hopefully both sides can express their opinion”

“I don’t watch. I’m just not that interested in politics,” another woman told me.

“Maybe I’ll watch. I’m not 100 percent sure. Yes, I’m sure my parents will. I’m not that political. I don’t know much about these things,” said one young woman.

When asked what topics she would like to hear addressed, she replied:

“Maybe I’ll watch… I’m not that political.”

A local business owner agreed that the economy needs to be stimulated.

“Especially economic plans. I feel like we’re heading into a major recession. And that’s my biggest concern right now as a business owner. I’ve been in Tampa a long time. Especially in the Florida economic system, you feel like there’s still a lot of change going on with the COVID process. And I want us to see here what the plan is for the future,” he said. “I know who I’m voting for.”

“I just want to see what they have to say. So they can clarify their positions and make clear what they think,” one woman explained to me briefly.

Hear one person share their opinion on both presidential candidates:

“We have young men and women who can do it better”

“I don’t want to get involved. I know who to vote for, and that’s myself. That’s all,” said another woman.
