The new “Sentinels” series sends a team of cyborg soldiers on the hunt for the deadliest mutants on Earth

With a new era of mutants comes a new generation of mutant-hunting machines!

This October, a group of soldiers – each of them scarred by world-shattering superhero battles and armed with nanotechnology – are tasked with arresting dangerous mutants who are disrupting coexistence in GUARDIANThe five-issue limited series is written by Alex Paknadel (RED GOBLIN) and drawn by Justin Mason (SPIDER-PUNK).

While the X-Men regroup after Krakoa’s fall, the government revives its infamous Sentinel program under the leadership of Lawrence Trask. Lawrence is a mutant himself and cursed with visions of an apocalyptic species war. He knows exactly which evil mutants will trigger it.

On the surface, his new Sentinels appear to be technologically enhanced superhumans, but the truth behind their creation is darker than one might imagine. When Graymalkin Prison becomes home to the villains they capture, the pieces of the puzzle come together for the birth of a major new enemy that will define the first year of the X-Men’s From the Ashes era.

Who are the new Sentinels? The original Sentinel program was human superiority and fear encoded into circuitry. But now their legacy is falling into the hands of mutants! Powered by cutting-edge nanotechnology, this new generation of Sentinels protects the fragile peace between mutants and humans. But when being a Sentinel is your job – your life – is it possible to remain human? Meet Sawtooth, Lockstep, Drumfire and Voivod, a brand new team of heroes who will take on the most vile mutants! Their first mission: catch Omega Red!

“As an X-fan since I first got my teeth, I couldn’t be prouder or more excited to share SENTINELS with fans,” Paknadel shared. “This book is about flawed people doing dirty work for a dirty cause, and Justin Mason and I are determined to make you care about each and every one of them. Whatever you’re expecting, I promise this book will surprise you.”
