Rob Kardashian beams as he makes an exception to be filmed with his famous family and Malika Haqq

Rob Kardashian is known for his reserved nature, but this week he made an exception and allowed himself to be filmed for a very special reason.

The Kardashians The star can be seen in footage from his older sister Khloe Kardashian’s 40th birthday party, which the star posted on Instagram on Thursday.

In the footage, which you can see below, Rob was all smiles as he sang “Happy Birthday” with the rest of the group, which included Khloe’s good friend Malika Haqq.

Although Rob is the most private of the Kardashian siblings, he is often out and about with the family and prefers to stay away from the camera.

He is a loving father to seven-year-old daughter Dream, whom he has with ex Blac Chyna. Khloe has previously praised her brother’s parenting, saying: “Rob does an incredible job with her and I’m just there to help whenever he needs it. Rob and I are insanely close, we always have been.”

She also explained, “Dream is one of my babies too, just like everyone else, and I love being a mother to other people. I love mothering people. I don’t know if they like it or not, but being a mother is in my blood. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Khloe added: “I feel like a third parent to Dream. I know how important it is for Dream to have a big maternal influence – whether that comes from me or her own mother or whoever, it’s important and wherever she gets it from, she gets it.”

Rob rarely posts on social media, but highlighted his close bond with his sister by paying tribute to the mother of two on her 39th birthday with a never-before-seen photo of the two and a heartfelt message.

He wrote: “Happy birthday @khloekardashian. Wishing you nothing but health and happiness forever my dear Buttercup! I love you so much and am so grateful to have you in my life and for everything you do for Dream and me. I don’t know what I would do without you. Happy birthday.”

Rob lives a quiet life in his family’s old home in LA, where he raises his only child. He occasionally shares glimpses of his home on social media, revealing his stylish interior design taste, including Disney artwork hanging on the walls.

Khloe isn’t the only one who has praised his parenting skills. Kendall Jenner previously revealed that out of all her siblings, Rob was “so good to his daughter” after being asked to rank their parenting skills in order. “I would say Rob is No. 1,” she told James Corden on The Late Late Show in 2019. “He’s so good to his daughter!”
