True romance: Maid of honor in love with the bride, husband cheated on with son’s girlfriend & Tinder matches progress quickly

Love is in the air again. After a week’s break during my vacation, True Romance with SeanJo is back and we pick up exactly where we left off.

For those who missed the previous episode of True Romance, we waded through some daddy issues, a woman dates a married father, and a cheater hands out free tickets to settle the score.

It’s been quite a journey. We’ve also had contributions from readers, which we always enjoy and which are of course welcome and desired.

This brings us to the friendly reminder part of the lovely day’s stroll through the anything but boring side of relationships and romance. I want to hear from you.

If you have a true love story you’d like to share or knowledge about something you see here, feel free to do so. Send emails to [email protected].

Now let’s dive right into this week’s action.

Maid of honour in love with her best friend who is marrying her brother

Heartbreaks can be complicated. There’s nothing more complicated than being in love with your best friend and being asked to be the maid of honor at her wedding to her brother.

If it weren’t for that family connection, the matter could have been resolved quite easily. We’ve heard these stories before where the bride and groom participated in extracurricular activities with the maid of honor.

It’s hard to imagine such a situation happening here, but stranger things have happened.

Let’s look at this from the perspective of the best friend/maid of honor who is struggling to accept that there is a wedding coming up soon.

The maid of honour, who has known the bride since childhood, is in a difficult situation: she never thought that the relationship with her brother would last.

“I thought they would have fun for a minute, then break up and we would all laugh about it one day,” the best friend admitted. “That’s obviously not the plan anymore.”

This has put her in a difficult position. She added: “For me, the sun doesn’t rise in the morning until I’ve spoken to her. She is the light of my life.”

Still, she wants to be a supportive best friend at the wedding, but the fact that her brother is the groom has thrown everything into disarray.

“This isn’t just some guy I can politely ignore and forget about,” she said of the awkward situation she finds herself in. “It’s my brother.”

She says that she never talked to her brother about her feelings for her friend, but he seemed to understand and that there was tension between them.

Her duties as maid of honor have brought her to the point where she is seriously considering staying away from the wedding and doing so without giving any reason.

In my opinion, that would be a big mistake. She needs to go to the wedding and, without making a scene, slowly start to work her way into things. This is an opportunity to do something in the fog of the celebrations.

Nothing too bold. A subtle move can set the stage for a bizarre love triangle.

Husband cheated on son with girlfriend

Let’s jump from someone who hasn’t crossed any boundaries yet to someone who has gone too far. It’s a fine line to walk, and rarely are people good enough at walking that line to have the best of both worlds.

This 43-year-old husband had the best of both worlds until he was tired of it. His wife of 20 years and 6 years of marriage sent him packing when she found out he was cheating on her.

The real gut punch was the fact that he had cheated on her with her son’s 25-year-old girlfriend. It turns out that Mom’s bad feeling about her son’s girlfriend was justified all along.

The woman begins her story with her husband’s drug use. Two months after their wedding, he was arrested and sentenced to a drug rehabilitation clinic. In short, after repeated relapses, he ended up in a rehabilitation facility in prison.

Meanwhile, the woman’s son was busy financing his girlfriend’s studies. She began to doubt his girlfriend and thought that she would leave him at some point.

“I just felt like she wasn’t that into him. He was paying for her college because he felt like it was an investment in their future together,” the woman wrote on Reddit. “She graduated from college with an associate degree and I had a feeling the bombshell was about to drop that she was going to leave him.”

When her son’s girlfriend graduated, she and her husband were going through a difficult time. She said, “He wasn’t getting his stuff ready for rehab. He wasn’t working, and I felt like he was hiding something.”

She thought he was using drugs again and tried to search his texts and emails. She found nothing and then one morning she got a call from her son. He wanted to talk and didn’t want his stepfather to know.

“What happened in the next hour would destroy my entire family. I get in the car and my son asks where we should go to talk privately,” she continues. “My son stops the car and says mom, my girlfriend and my stepdad are cheating on each other.”

This is obviously hard news for them. Apparently the son found emails between the two saying how weird it would be if they left their partners to be together.

The girlfriend met with the stepfather while the boyfriend and his mother were at work. The girlfriend made up excuses to visit them just to see the stepfather. I know exactly what you’re thinking right now – that’s love. And indeed, it is.

The unhappy wife kicked her husband out. Shortly after, her son kicked his girlfriend out and guess what happened. The stepfather and her son’s now ex-girlfriend moved into an apartment together.

Divorce has been filed, but in the end, love wins. These two have left some serious damage behind them, but they can be together until one of them gets bored and the cycle repeats itself. This is true romance.

Tinder matches moved in together four weeks after they met

After chaos and heartbreak, it’s all about love at first sight thanks to the dating app Tinder. It’s true that using the app can and has gone horribly wrong for some.

But it’s worth taking the risk when, like these two, 29-year-old Kelsey Shutts and her husband, 39-year-old James, find the right one and move in together after just four weeks.

That’s what people are looking for when they launch these apps. The two found each other in May 2020, when everyone was losing their minds due to the pandemic.

They spent two weeks in quarantine – you don’t want grandma to get sick – before they met for the first time at an Italian restaurant in Tampa. Once the two locked eyes, it was love at first sight.

They met again two days later and were living together four weeks after meeting. Four months later, they bought a house together in Georgia.

The children from previous relationships met their parents’ new loves and in December 2021, James proposed to her in Chicago. In 2022, they then had two wedding ceremonies: one for their children and parents and one for friends and other relatives in Italy.

“After he sent me the video, I knew I had met my future husband,” reports the NY Post. “I never believed in love at first sight until I saw him – I thought that was an exaggeration.”

“He was the most beautiful man I have ever seen in my life. This is the first time I have felt loved and accepted by someone.”

James had a similar experience. He said, “The whole love at first sight thing came over me like a wave of ecstasy. A complete out-of-body experience that I had never experienced before.”

“I was sitting in the living room with my girlfriend, browsing a dating app. I thought this would never happen to me, like I was being punished for all my past mistakes, and then – suddenly – there she was.”

He continued: “She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. My breath caught in my throat and my heart was racing.”

This is a really beautiful story. We don’t want to spoil it for you, even though everything could go wrong.

Let’s let them enjoy the good times while they’re still good, before something happens, like one of them ending up with the partner of one of their children.

That’s all for this week. Send your stories of true love and your comments to [email protected].
