Dodgers Minor Players: Taylor Young Dalton Rushing Jerming Rosario Carlos Duran

On Wednesday, one of the four Dodger affiliate teams won, scoring more points than the other three affiliate teams combined.

Player of the day

Second Baseman Julian He scored five runs in Tulsa’s victory thanks to his three-hit game, including a three-run double and a two-run double.

Young also walked and stole a base on Wednesday, his 26th steal of the season, leading the Midwest League.

Oklahoma City – Triple-A team

Oklahoma City lost a high-scoring away game against the Reno Aces (D-backs).

Ryan Ward and Austin Gauthier each had three hits, including a triple. Ward struck out three and Gauthier scored twice. Drew Avans hit a home run, singled, walked and scored three runs.

James Outman and Jonathan Araúz each had two goals.

Double-A Tulsa

Tulsa scored nine runs in the second inning and just kept going a defeat against the Amarillo (D-backs).

Jose Ramos reached base five times with a double, two singles and two walks, scoring four runs. Brendon Davis and Brandon Lewis each had two hits, a walk and scored twice.

Dalton Rushing had three hits, including his 10th home run of the season.

Jerming Rosario took advantage of all the run support, striking out eight players in his five innings and allowing just one run in the win.

Damon Keith was hit in the ribs by a pitch in the second inning and was substituted into left field early in the third inning.

High class: Great Lakes

Two runs in the fifth inning brought the Loons a day defeat against the Lake County Captains (Guardians).

Peter Heubeck allowed solo home runs in the second and third innings and was still in the game in the fifth inning, although the game was tied. In that inning, he allowed two walks, two singles and two stolen bases and threw a wild pitch that brought in the two decisive runs.

Jake Gelof hit a two-run double in the fourth inning, the only run for Great Lakes. Noah Miller scored one of those runs after hitting a single in the fourth inning, the only two hits for the Loons. After Gelof’s double, Great Lakes managed four walks but was 0-for-15 with five strikeouts to finish the loss.

Low-A Rancho Cucamonga

The Quakes allowed three runs in the sixth inning and three more in the seventh, turning the tide in a defeat against the Lake Elsinore Storm (Padres).

Carlos Duran got off to a great start, striking out four players in three hitless innings and allowing just one walk among the ten batters he faced.

Jeral Perez had two of Rancho Cucamonga’s five hits. Jesus Galiz hit a double and scored. Oswaldo Osorio had a two-run single that gave the Quakes a 4-0 lead at the time.

Kendall George had a single, a walk and a run. He also stole his 21st base in his 52nd game of the season, which ranks fourth in the California League. Since being drafted in the first round last July, George has had 38 steals in 80 professional games, which is a steal rate of 73 percent.

Transactions

Low-A: Jug Reynaldo Yeanwho threw 104 mph earlier this season, was activated by the Quakes after missing five weeks on the injured list. He replaces pitcher Alex Makarevichwho was placed on the 7-day injured list.
