Domestic cat meets stray for the first time and it is love at first sight

A Siamese tabby mix named Cielo has melted viewers’ hearts on social media after his owner shared a video detailing his love story with the neighborhood stray cat.

The viral clip, shared on TikTok in May under the username @kingcielopurrs, shows Cielo hanging from the window. A stray cat climbs up to him from the other side of the glass and just hangs out with him while he admires her in awe.

A caption accompanying the clip reads: “Her house cat meets her first stray cat (girl). She kept climbing to the window. We gave her a tuna, she looked so hungry.”

While some cats love being alone and having all of their humans’ attention, others feel the need for a furry companion. But how do you know if your pet needs a friend?

Dog health expert Rover says that if your cat wants a feline companion, they may show signs such as becoming extra affectionate, spending more time than usual grooming, or even changing their eating habits.

In addition, your cat may have problems with the litter box, their sleeping habits may change, or their energy levels may even change. Often, a cat that needs more company will also become more talkative, as if they are trying to communicate their need to you.

The video quickly went viral on social media, attracting viewers from across TikTok. To date, it has been viewed over 2.5 million times on the platform and has received more than 183,000 likes.

One user, Annmarie Kehle, commented: “One day a sweet girl came to our house…she’s been here ever since…I love her. Named her Sweet Pea.”

Theresa Gomez11 posted: “This happened to me years ago with my cat, an orange tomcat kept coming by and then never left.”

D_raw2raw added: “This would be the best Pixar movie plot if there ever was one.”

Another user, G_InTheFlesh, wrote: “I’ve been thinking about letting my house cat (my girl) play outside, but I’m terrified she might get hurt.”

Aded.Jedi shared, “Oh, please keep us updated. I want to see that love story. Please include it if you can.”
