It’s almost the end of June, which is always a difficult time. For one thing, Pride Month is almost over. Thankfully, we keep the Pride spirit alive all year round here—plus, my city celebrates well into July. But the end of June also means we’ve reached the halfway point of the year, which is a good time to reflect. Is the year going as you hoped? Is there anything you’d like to change? What are some of your favorite new queer books you’ve discovered so far? And that brings me to…

Last year I put together a survey to find out how your 2023 reading year was, and I’ve really enjoyed your feedback and recommendations! This year I thought I’d do a mid-year check-in. This survey is just a few questions, and you don’t have to answer all of them. Click here to fill out the survey. It’s open until the end of the day on June 30, and then I’ll tally up your answers and share them with you. One note: Regarding the feedback question, I’d also love to have no ads and no paid content, but unfortunately we live in capitalism and I couldn’t get paid to write this newsletter that way. Alas, woe betide you! I’d love to hear anything else you’d like to see in the newsletter, though, whether it’s specific recommendations or more general comments.
